The challenge has begun...
The challenge is to bring children to school after COVID-19!
The challenge is to keep children away from mobile phones!
The challenge is to make children play on the ground!
The challenge is to entertain the children!
These obstacles are putting us to the test both before and after COVID. Sometimes we succeed on this test, and other times we utterly fail.
Children's health and academic problems are getting worse as a result of their increasing use of mobile devices.
To address these issues, Panchvktra Foundation took it upon itself to enlist the aid of “Grammangal”, a seasoned organisation in the field of education.
Together, these two organisations, which engage in the fields of education and social services, launched "Vikas-Ghara" in 2012 for the Zilla Parishad students in the areas of Wai and Mahabaleshwar.
Children are given opportunities in development homes to foster their academic, physical, and emotional growth, as the initiative's name suggests.
Children in Vikas-Ghar are exposed to crucial ideas in academic subjects through engaging experiences. It avoids activities like reciting and rewriting to retain the information—both of which are dull to kids. Instead, the development house teaches the material using examples from real-world applications. Children now love learning more, and schoolwork has more purpose as a result.
The straightforward games played in the past are becoming outdated in today's digital age. These games, which involve both physical strength and imagination and require relatively little material, were previously played informally. The development studio includes all of these games. Children like playing games like hide-and-seek, blindman's buff, and running.
For observational, aesthetically pleasing, and sheer enjoyment objectives, children love folding, painting, and stamping during art sessions. Children like art that uses unusual materials like textured paper, organic paints, and organic brushes.
Developmental centres understand children and protect their uniqueness during the demanding academic years. These youngsters are those who will defend the nation.
Of course, if this wonderful experience is to be shared with more and more kids, one individual or one organisation will not be enough. This work has the potential to be widely spread if conscious individuals or groups in society contribute to it by appreciating its value.
We will feel good about helping the cause of the nation if we all take on this issue together.
Thank you
